National Highways emphasises Compliance with a series of ‘Toolbox Talks’ videos as part of the Driving for Better Business programme.
The videos address a number of compliance topics, such as fatigue, drivers hours, speed limits, distractions, and roadworthiness.
Mark Cartwright, head of the commercial vehicle incident prevention team at National Highways shared that “when HGVs are pulled over by the DVSA, the driver is usually aware of what’s gone wrong. Van drivers, often say they simply weren’t aware of the law.”
It’s fantastic to see more resources to help drivers understand the importance of compliance and recognise their responsibilities when driving. All drivers have a responsibility to stay compliant, but operators can help to support them by implementing systems that give drivers visibility of their data and help to maintain and track good behaviours.
Our Convey modules, like the walkaround and tachograph modules, can help to make it easier for you and your drivers to stay compliant, stay safe and make sure that if checked by the DVSA, they and you, can prove you’ve done everything as required.
