Convey Technology announces Hummingbird Logistic Services as Reseller Partner


Founded in September 2020 by Steven Zwinkels, with the desire to make a difference to hauliers and support them in as many ways as possible, Hummingbird Logistic Services is a consultancy that refines processes and improves efficiencies using automation and carefully selected and affordable software solutions.

With an existing relationship with Convey Technology’s Commercial Director Karen Crispe, Steven was aware of the software platform and its capabilities and features. However, Steven explains that the decision to offer the Convey Technology platform as part of his company’s solutions, was not only based on his experience of working with the Convey Technology team, but also on the fact that “the software stands out for its simplicity and clarity, compared to other overcomplicated alternatives in the market.”

Steven explains that the platform’s ability to “report key business information to the user and enable businesses to become ‘end to end paperless’” really differentiate it. The Convey platform enables operators to manage fleet, driver and vehicle compliance completely digitally. From managing tacho data to recording walkaround checks – everything is paperless and stored in a single location, access via single login.

Commenting on a recently completed customer implementation with waste and recycling operator, First Mile, Steven explains that using the Convey platform, “we’ve been able to reduce 18 spreadsheets’ worth of data into just 1 or 2.

“That level of connectivity and communication is transformational for a business.”

Since offering the technology to his customers, Steven explains that “Although we offer our customers the option of either the complete suite of tools or just individual modules, they usually opt for the full package.

“The whole package is a really powerful tool. For customers like First Mile, who are going through a process of digital transformation, their goal is to simplify their systems and introducing a system like Convey, which gives them everything they need in one place is ideal.”

Steven explains that for larger fleets that operate across multiple depots, like First Mile, the integration of information and the communication of the data is vital. “Information such as defect reporting used to occupy multiple spreadsheets, but now this information is available in one place for everyone involved in the fleet management process to access and action.

“From Director to user, everyone is now seeing the benefits of using the system. Drivers can digitally access information, so sure they have a roadside check, they can produce evidence of their compliance straight away.” For operators, not only can this improve operational efficiency, but potentially reduce prohibitions and costly fines.

Commenting on his experience of working with Convey, Steven says that “they listen to feedback and want to work together to make improvements. This approach is so positive and really makes a difference.”
